Von der Mairie Ottersum wurde der preußische Teil als [[Amt Kessel|Bürgermeisterei Kessel]] abgetrennt, Ottersum kam zu den Niederlanden. Von der Mairie Niel wurden Kekerdom und Leuth den Niederlanden zugeteilt.
