Formationsgeschichte

  • Ldw.-Inf.-Rgt. Nr.23 aufgestellt in Gleiwitz (Stab & III. Btl.), Kattowitz (I. Btl.) und Beuthen (II. Bataillon).

Nach der Schlacht von Tarnawka wurden das I. bis III. Bataillon wegen hoher Verluste in das I. und II. Bataillon zusammengelegt. Am 15.9.1914 wurde das Brig.-Ers.-Btl. Nr.17 neues III. Btl./L.I.R. Nr.23 . (Kommandeur wurde Hauptmann Schwarz von der Haupt-Kadetten-Anstalt).


Ersatz-Bataillon Ldw.-Inf.-Rgt. Nr.23 aufgestellt in Glatz (am 31.5.1916 aufgelöst).
